26.08.2010 - People walking on the beach of Hoek van Holland recently saw a strange creature; they watched with amazement as the creature was crawling over the sand - it was half fish, half human. The creature however seemed to be intelligent and knew where it was going. Before they could take a good look it had already disappeared in the waves of the sea. One day later it was sighted in the Maas, near Venlo. It seems as if the creature (sometimes called Nommo or Poseidon) is on its way to the EFF Arcen.

23.08.2010 - Walking on water a fantasy? Absolutely not! To experience what it feels like to walk on water you can climb into an AquaBubble. Almost the entire day you can test your water-walking skills. You can move across the water’s surface like a water nymph. It may be more difficult than it seems but whether you walk or roll; it's a very funny thing to try. Don't miss it! Check the programmepage for this and other water activities.

17.08.2010 – The dutch band La Lune Noire are huge EFF fans, that is why they wrote a song ("Here come the elves") especially for us. They even made a videoclip – check it out!

16.08.2010 – Special fanactivity from The Gathering! The first 1000 The Gathering fans with an official The Gathering-Merchandise Item ( T-Shirt, CD, Cap, etc.) will get an original signed CD from The Gathering for FREE! in front of the Mainstage (Walhalla-Stage) on 18.09.2010 from 16.15 until 16.45 o’clock. You can choose between „Souvenirs“ or „if_then_else“. So be there!

16.08.2010 – Balfolk has gain popularity in the Netherlands and will be instructed by Meris and an assistant in Arcen! The basics of these dances are quite simple so put on your shoes (or not whatever makes you feel happy) and join the workshop!

16.08.2010 – Today is the day! The day the voting for the Royal Election of Elfia begins and another person or couple is close to become the ruler of an entire fantasy realm. So, what are you waiting for … meet the candidates and vote for your favourite via the poll.

14.08.2010 – Dear Fans of Baorisa! Due to staffing changes at Baorisa we decided with the band in their own interest and in the interest of the public, that the Elf Fantas Fair gives the band the opportunity to adjust to the new situation professionally. Therefore Baorisa will not play at the Elf Fantasy Fair 2010 in Arcen, but now has the chance to play with a new arrangement in Haarzuilens 2011.
As a great substitute the dark-romantic band Bacio di Tosca will play at the EFF Arcen. More info about them on our program page.

05.08.2010 - Grab your chance to rule a kingdom! Elfia needs you. Rumor has it that people plan to conquer Elfia with a coup d'etat. We cannot let that happen. Elfia's constitution states that a democratically chosen king and/or queen must rule. Elfia needs a new king, queen or royal couple. Further information can be found on the election page.

04.08.2010 - We can announce the time schedule for the shuttle service! Always useful information when you are planning your trip to Elfia. The shuttle service on Saturday from 8.30 am to 11.30 pm and on Sunday from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm. 02.08.2010 - Did you request a promotion pack or were you going to? Anyway, attention! Because you, being the enthusiastic promotion-elf that you are, stand the chance of winning a ticket for the Elf Fantasy Fair Arcen 2010. How does this work? Send us a picture of you while you are busy promoting the EFF; by handing out flyers or hanging up posters. We give away three tickets to the ones who send us the funniest promotion-elf-at-work picture or a picture of the (useful) location where you have placed the flyers. We, the office elves, then will choose the three winning pictures and these pictures will of course be posted online. 30.07.2010 - Dutch music elfs: next to music performers from Germany, Ireland, Norway, Turkey, Spain, and Latvia, there are also a lot of Dutch music performers at the EFF in Arcen; like the famous "The Gathering" , the celtic-historic formation "Elato", the fairyfolk musicians of "Baorisa", and the Folk & Didgeridoo group "Faerydae". 28.07.2010 - Tired of fighting by too many rules? Want to show your combat skills but you don’t want to choose sides? Take up your sword then and charge forward on the Elysium field where you can take part in the group LARP Fight - a coordinated mayhem in which everyone can participate. The triumphant person or group won’t merely claim warrior’s glory but they will also be granted a noble rank. No registration, just report on location that you shall join.

26.07.2010 - An amazing highlight at the Elf Fantasy Fair in Arcen! The first and exclusive reading of the new novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein: "Elfenzorn" With an Q&A and a signing session; on Saturday at 5 pm.

26.07.2010 - Centaur. A real centaur will be created at the EFF by bodypaint artists Enrico Leihm (D) and Jacklyn Suiskens (B). No bloody surgery, only paint, plastic parts and special effects. Actually they will transform their male model into a unicorn-centaur, a half man/half unicorn. EFF is honoured that also bodypaint worldchampion special effects 2010 Peter Tronser together with Petra Tronser will be present during the weekend.

16.07.2010 - The nobility list has been updated. Check out the names of the dukes, the barons, the countesses, the ambassadors, the consuls, the members of the Brotherhood of Elfia and the name of the state security agent of Elfia.

15.07.2010 - Do you want to become immortal and change history? In Elfia you can; by becoming candidates for the Royal Election of Elfia you stand the chance to rule an entire fantasy realm. Once you are elected you shall get a treatment fit for a king - for the entire weekend.
